Invisalign

Removable, close to invisible, and planned in full before the first tray goes in.

What it is

Aligners move teeth in small increments through a series of clear trays. Because they are removable, the single biggest factor in the result is how many hours a day you actually wear them.

We scan your teeth, plan the movements and show you a simulation of the finished position side by side with where you are now. You will also be told the projected number of aligners and the likely duration before you commit to anything.

Trays are worn twenty to twenty-two hours a day and changed on schedule, with short reviews to confirm the teeth are tracking the plan rather than drifting off it. They come out to eat and to brush, which is the practical advantage over fixed braces — and the discipline the treatment demands.

What this
involves

Everything below is carried out here, by the clinician who planned it. Anything not on this list is either not needed or will be discussed with you before it is booked.

  • 3D scan and movement planning
  • Simulation of the finished result
  • Full course of clear aligners
  • Attachments and refinements as needed
  • Progress reviews throughout
  • Retainers built into the plan

Plenty of our aligner patients are adults finishing something they were meant to have done at fourteen.

Common questions

Good To Know

How long will treatment take?
Minor alignment can finish inside six months; comprehensive cases usually run twelve to eighteen. You are given a projected aligner count at the consultation.
Will anyone notice I am wearing them?
Aligners are clear and come out for eating. Most people find colleagues do not spot them without being told.
What if I do not wear them enough?
The teeth stop tracking the plan and the case takes longer or needs re-planning. Twenty hours a day is not a suggestion — it is the treatment.
