Patient Experience

What actually happens when you come in

No clipboard in a waiting room, no rushed examination, and no treatment plan you did not agree to. Here is the whole process, start to finish.

Your first visit

A first appointment with us is deliberately unremarkable. You will be examined thoroughly, shown exactly what we found, and sent away with a written plan and nobody will ask you to decide anything on the spot.

  1. A man smiling, relaxed
    01

    A conversation first

We sit down before anything clinical happens. What has your experience of dentistry been, what are you worried about, and what would you change if you could?

  2. A woman smiling confidently
    02

    A full examination

Teeth, gums, bite, jaw joints and soft tissues, with digital X-rays and an intra-oral scan only where they will actually change the plan.

  3. A man laughing warmly
    03

    Seeing what we see

Your scans go up on the screen beside you and we walk through them together. No jargon, no implication that you should already understand it.

  4. A woman smiling in soft evening light
    04

    A written plan and price

You leave with options in writing — including the option of doing nothing yet — and a cost against every item. Nothing is booked on the day unless you want it to be.

Comfort

If you have been putting this off, you are exactly who we built this for.

A great many adults avoid the dentist out of anxiety, and almost none of them enjoy admitting it. So we do not make you. Tell us when you book, and the appointment is built differently from the start: more time, a slower pace, an agreed signal to stop at any moment, and no treatment attempted on a first visit unless you ask for it.

Noise-cancelling headphones, weighted blankets and topical numbing before any injection are standard rather than something you have to request. Where it genuinely helps, oral or IV sedation is available with a clinician who does this every week.

Insurance & payment

No surprises
on the invoice

Cost is the second most common reason people delay dental care, and uncertainty about cost is the first. We remove the uncertainty.

Debit · Credit · Direct insurance billing · Instalments
  • We bill your insurer directly

For most Canadian providers we submit the claim on your behalf, so you pay only the portion that is genuinely yours. No forms, no waiting on a reimbursement.

  • Estimates before treatment

We can send a predetermination to your insurer before you commit, so you know your exact coverage rather than an approximation.

  • Payment plans without interest

Larger treatment can be spread across monthly instalments at no additional cost. We will set it out before you decide, not after.

  • Clear pricing for the uninsured

Not everyone has coverage. Our fee guide is published, fixed and the same for everyone — being uninsured never means being charged more.

Common questions

Good To Know

How long is a first appointment?
A full hour. Most of it is examination and conversation rather than treatment.
I am genuinely anxious about dentists. Can you help?
Yes — it is one of the reasons we set the practice up this way. Tell us at booking and we will set aside extra time, agree a stop signal, and go entirely at your pace. Sedation is available where it helps.
Do you see children?
From their first tooth onwards. Early visits are short, friendly and usually involve nothing more than counting.
What if I need treatment urgently?
We hold slots open every day we are open, including Saturdays, for urgent cases. Call us and you will speak to a clinician rather than an answering service.
Do I have to complete the intake form online?
No — you are welcome to fill it in when you arrive. Completing it beforehand simply means your appointment starts with a conversation rather than a clipboard.

Still have a question we have not answered?

Call us, or send a message — you will get a straight answer from someone clinical, not a call-centre script.
